The fourth edition of Miss Africa Calabar does not disappoint

The fourth edition of Miss Africa Calabar was once again held at the world-class International Calabr Convention Centre to much glitz and glam. Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Jocelyn Dumans and headlined by Patorangking, Victoria Kimani, and various local acts, the continental beauty pageant had 22 girls from as many countries vying for a chance to claim the crown. Funny local man Robert Ekpo held the green carpet host duties with My Flatmates actress Wofai Fada.

This year’s panel of judges was Nollywood royalty Omotola Jalade, South African television, and radio host Pearl Modiadie, actor Eyinna Ngwigwe, CEO of Transcorp Hotels Owen Omogiafo, the first-ever most beautiful girl in Cross River State Abbey Ukpukpen and first Miss Africa Calabar Neurite Mendes.

Kenya’s Irene Ng’endo Mukii snatched the crown, a brand new car as well as 35 000 USD while Angola’s Cristian Daniela Lopes was the first runner up bagging 10 000 USD and South Africa’s Ethel Tondani Maimela walked away with the second runner up title which earned her 5 000 USD.
