Miss Africa Tanzania
I am Jasinta Makwabe, a 25-year-old with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
Why are you competing for Miss Africa Calabar 2020?
I am competing in this pageant because it is a great platform. It inspires me to work on my insecurities and lack of confidence. It pushes me to do what I thought was impossible. And I want to inspire other girls and empower them that anything and everything is possible today.“Be you and do you for you” I say.
What solution would you offer for the challenges Africa is facing in terms of the COVID 19 pandemic and other health, governance, and environmental issues?
The solutions I have for the world pandemic include raising awareness, improving the quality of the healthcare system, early disease detection as well as managing environmental issues. By the latter I mean, there should be proper waste disposal, planting trees, organic farming, and recycling waste.
What would you do with the prize money should you win and what project would you take on to impact Africa at large?
I’m so passionate about fashion and beauty and so my project will be based on developing my own clothing brand and makeup studio. I also have a passion for helping people in need especially orphans so I’m will take 20% of the money and build an orphanage center where I will make sure that they do not lack basic amenities. I will also ensure that they get quality education which will help them grow up to be responsible and healthy adults who will give back to the community.
