The 2nd engagement for Monday 12th June was a courtesy call to the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly CRSHOA Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo.
The Queen Neurite Mendes articulated her program and ways she has been promoting the need to #protecttheenvironment across Africa and beyond. The Speaker not only commended the work undertaken by the Queen so far but also pledged his and the government support in using the Miss Africa brand to change the perception of young people in positioning themselves to take advantage of been able to solve the many challenges that face the world today such as #climatechange.
After photo sessions the Speaker and the #MissAfrica Queen planted a tree as a symbol of partnership in the #plantatreecampaign All trees were provided, nurtured and groomed from the nursery of the Environment and carbon emissions board, cross river state.
