Martha is from Cross River State in Nigeria and is a Business Education graduate and an entrepreneur and host by profession.
She’s very passionate about life and has been an advocate for indigenous culture in Africa for the past two years. She derives joy from encouraging the younger generation of Africa to learn and appreciate their culture, heritage and local languages and she thinks that’s what makes her unique.
Humanity to her means giving opportunities to everyone and every living and non-living thing on earth. She feels that as humans, we need to understand that the environment plays a very vital role in our lives and human existence depends greatly on the environment. “We need to understand that the planet is approaching extinction because of our harmful approach towards it and we need to do better as humans… humanity means equality, equal rights to everyone and equal respect and appreciation to the planet,” she explains.
Should she win Miss Africa 2019 Calabar, she’ll start an initiative that she’s passionate about which is to encourage the young generations of Africa to learn and appreciate their culture as Africans and to learn to see themselves as African before anything else.
