NAMIBIA, Ndapewa Matheus
I grew up in the capital city of my country, Windhoek. I am a paramedic by profession and I love nature, watching documentaries, travelling, and dancing. I come from a large family and that makes me passionate about helping less-privileged families. My motto is, “live life with no expectations, that way you get no disappointments”.
What makes you unique?
My willingness to keep trying even when I am faced by obstacles for me it’s not how you begin it’s how you finish.
What is your understanding of the theme “Africanism”?
Africanism to me is understanding your roots, cultural background, where you come from, who you are as a person and embracing it with pride.
What will you do with the prize money if you win?
My mother always says “never budget for money you don’t have yet” (Jokes) When I win the money I will invest all of it and budget on how I will spend it. Because money that is not planned for to the last cent leaves you as quickly as you got it. Sponsoring a geriatric home age will definitely be part of my budget though.
