I am Fanelie Riziki and I am 24-years-old. I have a high school degree in literature and I have attended an English center where I learned informatics too.
Why are you competing for Miss Africa Calabar 2020?
I’m competing in Miss Africa Calabar 2020 to promote human rights, unity, mental decolonization, and most education.
What solution would you offer for the challenges Africa is facing in terms of the COVID 19 pandemic and other health, governance, and environmental issues?
COVID 19 has proved to all of us the importance of saving: I suggest the creation of animal husbandry, beverage, and food factories in order to be producers and raise our economy instead of importing; which costs a lot. I suggest the popularization of loans at banks which can allow people who have lost their businesses and goods to start over.
For health issues, I suggest the creation of health centers where drugs can be provided for free to the people in need. I also suggest the recycling of plastics as it induces pollution which creates many other diseases.
What would you do with the prize money should you win and what project would you take on to impact Africa at large?
My pet project would be to create an NGO based on education. Africa is obviously rich but we need the right knowledge according to our lands, and wealth so that we can exploit our beautiful continent. it belongs to us and we should be able to do it together.
